Laura Winkler & Wabi-Sabi Orchestra

"I was blown away by Laura Winkler's Wabi-Sabi Orchestra... Endlessly brilliant."

(Kurt Rosenwinkel)

„Paper clips“  is a rare statement that will provide your ears with fresh vantage points upon each new listening.  So - sit back - and enjoy the first of what I imagine to be many spins in your tray".
 (Greg Cohen)

The name of the ensemble says it all: Wabi-Sabi (in Japanese: 侘寂) describes an aesthetic concept originated in Japan – the beauty of imperfection, impermanence and inconspicuousness.

This is not the only connection to Japan: All compositions are in one way or another inspired by the best-selling author Haruki Murakami (村上 春樹) – be it by text passages, ambiances, single words or by characters in his novels.

CD "Paper clips" will be released on 4.4.2014 (Traumton Records)
